30th International and 23rd National Disability Day celebrated in Bandarban district.

The 30th International Day of Persons with Disabilities and the 30th International Day of Persons with Disabilities was celebrated in Bandarban district on December 3, 2021 AD. The day was celebrated by the District Social Services Office in collaboration with the district administration as per the instructions of the Department of Social Services.Mj. Yasmin Parveen Tibriji, Deputy Commissioner Bandarban was present as the Chief Guest at the function held in the Conference Room of the Deputy Commissioner. Mr. Md. Sheikh Chadek, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) was present as Special Guest. The chief guest said in his speech that no development is possible without the disabled. The government is taking development activities forward with them. Therefore, the government has considered various useful measures including allowances for their development. 25 persons with disabilities present on the occasion were given one blanket each, 10 persons were given digital sadachari and 5 persons were given wheelchairs. Mr. Milton Muhuri, Deputy Director, District Social Service Office, Bandarban presided over the function.
